Lets get this cat seen and saved! The clock is ticking! Foster today! THIS IS THE ONLY POST ON THIS SENIOR CAT. PLEASE SHARE!!!!URGENT NEED FOR FOSTER OR ADOPTER! Brandy, #a2296435 from the harbor shelter BY 4PM,TUESDAY, 10/13/2026! Brandy is a 13-year-old spayed female, gray and white Domestic Shorthair who was surrendered on 09/26/2026 due to relocation after reportedly spending 11 years in her home. According to her previous owner, she has hyperthyroidism and is sensitive around her hips. She previously lived with another cat and was described as gentle with adults, usually tolerant of children, and shy around strangers for the first few days. The shelter issued this MEDICAL ALERT:Brandy has a reported history of hyperthyroidism, weakness in her hind legs, and possible blindness. Her previous owner brought Tapazole and Gabapentin medications with her at surrender. During her 10/01 veterinary examination, Brandy was able to stand and walk. Her pupils were dilated with slow pupillary light responses, although her retinas appeared normal on examination. Brandy has been very frightened in the shelter and has displayed hissing, growling, and swatting during handling. Given her age, medical needs, and possible vision impairment, she needs a patient, understanding home where she can receive appropriate veterinary care. Our veterinary staff have determined that Brandy cannot be maintained in the shelter and must exit by the end of day, 4pm 10/13/2026. This senior girl has spent most of her life in a home and now finds herself in an unfamiliar shelter environment. We are hoping a rescue or adopter can step forward and give Brandy the care, comfort, and stability she needs. FOSTER FOR US! WE COVER MEDICAL!
