We really can't afford to put him in boarding, and how long would that be until we found him a home

Our time is running out to get chief a new home. We rescued him two years ago from the castaic shelter for the person who has him now. We don't own him, so the owner can take him to the shelter. Not sure he would make it out alive. We really can't afford to put him in boarding, and how long would that be until we found him a home? We need to find him a home NOW to ensure his safety. He should be the only dog in the house. He's friendly with people. Although the owner says she's not sure he's good with small kids. she is having a baby, hence, the reason for rehoming him, we can't fail him. Please share what better yet.
