Help save this dog from euthanasia. Click on the original post below for more, any questions ask on the original post as well. Thank you PATCH TRIED TO GET ON A SCHOOL BUS. NOW HE’S ON THE EUTHANASIA LIST. 😭🚌 ⏰ DEADLINE: OCTOBER 14 10/13- Patch is showing increased reactivity to other dogs and will probably be best suited as an only pet at this time. I know this decreases his chance of being saved so please continue to share so we can hopefully find the perfect Foster for him. Apparently nobody told PATCH #A5172550 that you have to be enrolled in school to ride the bus. This adorable 2 year old, 49 lb Lab/Cattle Dog mix was found wandering near 83rd Avenue and Broadway Road in Phoenix. A woman on her way to work spotted him crossing a busy street and hanging out with a group of middle schoolers waiting for their bus. And Patch apparently decided he was going to school, too! His finder reported that he happily accepted pets from the kids and even TRIED TO GET ON THE SCHOOL BUS WITH THEM. When she called him over, he came running, allowed all handling, and hopped right into her car. She described him as extremely sweet, friendly and VERY energetic. ❤️ And that energy is exactly what’s getting Patch into trouble at the shelter. This busy boy has been pacing the play yards, whining, watching the tops of fences and trying to dig his way underneath them. He’s also become increasingly frustrated around other dogs and struggles to settle or return to his kennel. But he’s shown plenty of friendly behavior, too. He gently takes treats, wags his tail, comes over for attention and has even leaned his entire 49 pound body into a handler for pets. 🥹 Unfortunately, Patch’s overstimulation and escape seeking behavior have landed him on the euthanasia list. He needs an experienced foster with secure containment, patience, structure and appropriate outlets for all that energy. Just days ago, Patch was trying to catch the school bus. Now he needs someone to help him catch a second chance. 💔 ⚠️ PATCH IS NEW HOPE ONLY (NHO) AND CANNOT BE ADOPTED DIRECTLY BY THE PUBLIC. He needs a committed foster AND an approved New Hope rescue. ⏰ Deadline: 10/14 — at risk of euthanasia 10/15 ❤️ Apply at #AZFosters #FosterNeeded #PhoenixDogs #CattleDogMix #MCACC #NewHopeOnly #ShelterDogs #FosterSavesLives #RescueDogs #phoenix #phoenixaz #arizona #patch
